Unnur Elizabeth
ÉG BÝÐ MIG FRAM/ I VOLUNTEER is a series of non-traditional short-pieces where the director Unnur Elísabet invites artists from different backgrounds to collaborate. The result is an extraordinary theater experience, a melting pot of new ideas, a kind of tapas party for the audience. This is the fourth time the festival has been staged, and this time the starting point of the show is Nýr heimur/New world. Unnur Elísabet now invites seven different artists to a duet and thus weaves together different art forms, drama, movement, art and music. The exhibition deals with different worlds and apocalypse, on a personal or global scale.
Series 1 and 3 received nominations for Icelandic award Gríman and series 2 was chosen as "Show of the Year" at the Reykjavík Fringe Festival.
